| Cardinals are a vivid treat for the eyes and easily recognizable from many yards away especially in the winter. At right, a male cardinal sits out a snow shower in a climbing rose bush as the snow starts to blanket the background. Below, a female cardinal waits for her turn at the bird feeder after a rain storm. Below right, a female cardinal enjoys a rare sunny morning in a buddleia bush, which stays green well into the winter. |
